Champions of HSSV

Conni Ahart and Clint Severson recently made a $1M planned gift to HSSV. Staff worked with them to craft a gift that touched on several areas of philanthropic interest for Conni and Clint, and also addressed critical needs at HSSV. The $1M gift includes gifts for several areas of HSSV's work. $250,000 will kick off a new fund to endow HSSV's Chief of Shelter Medicine position, $200,000 for a "President's Discretionary Endowment Fund", $125,000 for current Disaster Preparedness strategy work, $125K for Regional Rescue expansion work, $100,000 for HSSV's newest initiative for Community Development and $200,000 has gone towards underwriting HSSV's new Wellness Waggin', a 33' spay/neuter vehicle that will allow HSSV to expand its targeted spay/neuter work and also to reach further into communities of need. Recently, Conni and Clint shared why they made this significant gift and why they encourage others to consider making similar transformational gifts to HSSV.
